What we get from Stripe Terminal

Amount and timestamp of card-present charges
Refunds and disputes, both deducted
First visit versus repeat, where the Customers object is populated
Reader and location metadata, so multi-site groups split cleanly

What it can't give us

Card-present only. Online Stripe payments are a separate connection and are not mixed in.
If the business doesn't create Customers, new-versus-returning is unavailable — the charge alone doesn't carry it.
A restricted key is less convenient than OAuth. It's what Stripe offers for this shape of access, and it's the narrower option.

3. They paste the key into the approval page	It's stored encrypted and can be rolled from Stripe at any moment.
